Sandra Bullock is a low-maintenance kind of gal.

The actress — who is married to motorcycle builder and Monster Garage host Jesse James — says she doesn’t like expensive presents.

“I am lucky in that I don’t expect much and I am always so pleased by just the smallest gesture,” she said.

“I am a notes and letters gal. I would much rather have someone write me something than buy something for me.

“I like the intentions rather than the gifts, so if someone writes me something or does something like that then I am very overwhelmed by that romance.”

Bullock, 45, recently revealed that her secret addiction is architecture.

“My addiction is architecture,” she said. “I love structures. I’ll be walking down a street in Europe staring at everything, seeing the history of that country on a block.

“In America we’re so ready to tear down something that’s a hundred years old. It drives me crazy.”
