He’s got a thing about danger!
George Michael was “driving like a madman” before crashing his Range Rover into the back of a lorry.
According to the lorry driver who saw Michael speed past him seconds before the crash, the Careless Whisper hitmaker was weaving across lanes with his headlights on full beam.
“He was all over the road — he was driving like crazy. He swerved past my artic so closely that he just missed me,” said Sean Strong, 36. “He was shouting and screaming at the passenger seat.
“I just knew the guy was not safe and that he was going to crash, which he did a mile or two later.
“I am surprised he walked away from it. He was going at some speed.”
George, 46, slammed his car into the back of a 7-ton truck on the A34 outside Newbury, Berks, just after 1am on Friday.
Drug tests on George at a police station proved negative. He was released at 6am. Police said 14 officers went to the scene.
A spokesman added, “The driver of a Range Rover, a 46-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of being unfit through drink or drugs. He was released without charge.”
In a statement last night, George denied being drunk at the wheel. “Neither of us was charged because we were both stone-cold sober,” he said.
“We both think the other is to blame so this is just an insurance fight.”
Someone needs stop George from driving! We’ve already lost one music legend this year.
