Katy Perry loves being a girl — because she gets to do “all the cute things” boys don’t get to do.

The I Kissed a Girl singer says traces of her Christian upbringing have stuck.

“I have fun being a girl and doing all the cute things girls do that they can’t really explain to boys, because boys just don’t understand,” Perry said.

“Lolita is kind of f**ked up,” she added. “[But] off the bat, I never said, ‘Hey, check me out, this is the way you should live your life.’ I never said, ‘you should have sex at the same age I had sex’.

“I am way not perfect. I am just myself. And I didn’t come to win a popularity contest.

“Whether you like it or not, girls of that age [14] are thinking about boys. We’re getting our hearts crushed and having our first relationships. Hopefully some of my songs can help them get over or deal with it.”

Perry, 24, recently revealed that she wants to be like No Doubt star Gwen Stefani.

“When I grow up I wanna be just like Gwen Stefani,” Perry wrote on her Twitter page. “It’s not a race it’s a marathon. I keep telling myself this. Think of the big picture.”
