Robert Pattinson Keeping His Ego in Check
Robert Pattinson refuses to watch himself onscreen — because he’s desperate not to get a big ego or become depressed.
The Twilight star — currently one of Hollywood’s hottest young actors — says he hasn’t watched any of his movies since he played Cedric Diggory 2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
“I still can’t watch myself either. I have always been like that. Watching myself at the Twilight premiere was a mistake,” he said.
“I had never watched anything of myself since Harry Potter. Nothing comes other than this pureĀ discomfort.
“I can’t watch myself. I am just feeling everybody else’s reaction. I can’t handle that at all.
“It seems pointless watching it. You get a big ego or you become depressed. So I avoid it altogether.”
Pattinson, 23, also blamed social-networking website Twitter for ruining his life.
“Because of internet stuff and Twitter, there will be a crowd if you are in a place for more than half an hour,” he dished.
“I’ve learned never to stay in the same place for more than 20 minutes.”
