Robert Pattinson — Insecure!

Posted by Adam

Robert PattinsonRobert Pattinson admits he’s insecure about his body.

The British actor says he felt really “uncomfortable” having to take his top off for Twilight sequel New Moon.

“I was so uncomfortable doing it,” he said. “It really is so embarrassing.”

The 23-year-old has previously revealed how he refuses to watch himself onscreen.

“I still can’t watch myself either. I have always been like that. Watching myself at the Twilight premiere was a mistake,” he said.

“I had never watched anything of myself since Harry Potter. Nothing comes other than this pure  discomfort.

“I can’t watch myself. I am just feeling everybody else’s reaction. I can’t handle that at all.

“It seems pointless watching it. You get a big ego or you become depressed. So I avoid it altogether.”

Pattinson is said to be “hooking up” with his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart.

I find it hard to believe that at age 23 Robert would have trouble taking his shirt off in front of someone. I don’t believe for one minute he’s insecure about his body. After all he did a freaking nude scene in “Little Ashes” and I’ve heard him say he doesn’t mind doing nudity. Doesn’t sound like he’s insecure at all to me. As for him not liking to watch himself on screen, that I can relate to. I probably would feel the same way as I am my own worst critic.

I don’t think his comment is related to his earlier statement about nudity or to any of his other movies (i.e. Little Ashes).

I think what Rob meant was…..it was uncomfortable taking his shirt off specifically for New Moon.

He knows what seriously crazy lengths Twi Fans go to, to just see him…take pics of him…scream at him…grab him…hunt him down endlessly and remorselessly, no matter where he is or who he’s with. The sexy stuff in the Twi series just feeds into that. So I think Rob meant that he was uncomfortable taking his shirt off in New Moon because the whole time, he was probably thinking “Oh CRAP, this will make things even worse than they already are. I will have even LESS of a life, even LESS privacy than I do already.”

As the series goes on, and the interactions between the characters of Edward and Bella become more intense, more sexual in tone, I think it’ll get even worse.

I feel badly for Rob and his loss of privacy and control over his own life. It’s truly frightening what some of the Twi fanactics will do to pursue (and in their minds, hopefully fulfill) the fantasy.

Not ALL of us admirers are freaks. Those of us who are rational (and know how to keep our hands and our cameras to ourselves) appreciate the genuine person Rob is and his acting abilities, but we appreciate them from afar. We understand that Rob (and all public figures, really) chooses to share part of himself through his acting and public appearances. But we also understand that he deserves to actually LIVE his life with dignity and privacy, and we hope that some day, he can regain those things in his life.

poor rob lol i think the gay scenes too in little ashes were a lot worse especially one particular scene, but i heard he found that hard too and i also heard he doesnt care if it all ends tommorow he’s just living for now.He has a very laid back attitude but i think he would miss it all the fans and travelling the world and all the freebies, oh and not forgetting the women he can take his pick of it must be so hard for him lol.
