Michael Jackson’s Burial Confirmed For August 29

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson‘s burial WILL take place August 29, it was confirmed Tuesday.

A spokesman for the Jackson family told TMZ that the tragic King of Pop will be laid to rest at Holly Terrace in the Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Saturday, August 29 at 10 AM. That would have been Michael’s 51st birthday.

The ceremony will be limited to family and close friends.

Michael’s dad, Joe Jackson, said Monday that the burial plans had been made final just in the past few days.

Joe said he will return to Vegas after his son is buried that Saturday to receive a celebrity star in the singer’s honor at the Brenden Theatres, a cinema at the Palms that Michael Jackson and his children frequented.

It was reported Sunday that Jackson’s body is being kept in a chill cabinet at Forest Lawn where his mom, Katherine Jackson, has frequently visited him.
