Jennifer Aniston has obviously been dating advice from her pal — and former Friends costar — Courteney Cox.

Cox — who is married to actor David Arquette — has admitted the tactic for any woman over 40 looking for love is to play the field — and that’s exactly what her 40-year-old pal has been doing.

“You’ve just got to be willing to put yourself out there,” says Courteney. “I’m sure it’s not easy but there are people in the same situation. You’re not alone.”

Coincidentally, Courteney is playing a woman looking for a toyboy in new sitcom Cougar Town, while Jen has a similar role in upcoming movie Pumas.

“I did know about her movie,” Courteney, 45, explains. “I’m not sure exactly what the storyline is, other than it’s probably a woman. I guess pumas are in their 30s and cougars are in their 40s. Jaguars are in their 50s, and sabertooths go right into the 60s!”
