Daniel Radcliffe is gearing up for a Hollywood career behind the camera — he wants to direct a gangster flick.
The the young actor is looking to change people’s pre-conceptions of him by getting involved in a serious movie project.
“Daniel’s been looking at lots of scripts trying to decide what he’d like to direct,” dished a Hollywood mole. “But he’s now focusing on a story about a London gangster. Daniel wants to challenge people’s pre-conceptions of him.”
Radcliffe recently denied rumors he was in the running for a role as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit.
“I’d have to say: ‘Thanks, but no thanks.’ Not that anyone has asked me,” said the 20-year-old. “I don’t think they would want me anyway, it’s just too close. Whatever I do next, I don’t think there will be any wizards in it.”
