Penelope Cruz: ‘I Was a Total Workaholic’
Penelope Cruz used to be a “total workaholic”.
The 35-year-old actress — who is reportedly four months pregnant with partner Javier Bardem’s baby — has revealed how her parents urged her to slow down because she was burning the candle at the both ends.
“I can rest, go traveling, have time to do nothing,” Cruz told British newspaper The Times. “Before I might take 15 days off in a year and try to leave my BlackBerry in my room to please my family.
“I was a total workaholic. I think that’s what I needed to do then. Now I can work, but I’m not on movie sets the whole year. I can say no until there is something I really need to do.”
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Cruz is hiding out as her pregnancy progresses.
“Penelope is hiding out until she’s further along in the pregnancy,” a source said.
