Taylor Swift used to play her guitar until her fingers bled.
The country music star — whose new single, You Belong With Me, is out later this month — says she was dedicated to her first six string.
“I still remember when I got my first six string. As soon as I picked it up, I couldn’t stop playing it,” said the 19-year-old. “I would play until my fingers were red raw. Then my mum would tape them up and off I’d go again.”
Swift recently insisted she’s trying to keep her life as normal as possible.
“It still feels very surreal to me… you know, when it all hits me, because I just try to keep my life as normal as possible,” she said.
“I still go to the grocery store. I still do all the things that I used to do, it just takes a little longer and I’m talking to a lot more people and signing autographs now.
“Singing is just what I’ve always wanted to do so I’m just so thankful for every day.
“It is really crazy to hear people saying ‘you’re outselling this name and this name’.”
