DJ AM Didn’t Commit Suicide
DJ AM didn’t commit suicide — his death was the result of an accidental overdose, according to reports.
The star — whose real name is Adam Goldstein — was found dead in his New York City apartment at 5:20 p.m. Friday.
But sources directly connected with the celebrity spinner’s death insist he didn’t intend to take his own life.
AM, a recovering addict, had developed a dependency to anti-anxiety drug Xanax and other benzodiazepines after surviving a plane crash last year, TMZ reports.
Those drugs reportedly triggered a relapse into his previous crack addiction.
AM’s relapse was apparently “recent” — he was not abusing for a prolonged period of time before his death.
It is reported that evidence strongly indicates his cause of death will be a combination of crack cocaine and benzodiazepines.
