Mariah Carey says she’s “happier than ever” now that she’s married.

The Touch My Body hitmaker wed singer/actor Nick Cannon in a secret ceremony at her private estate on Windermere Island in The Bahamas in October 2008.

And Carey says since becoming Mrs Cannon, she is no longer a diva — and denies she ever was one.

“I’ve always been the same way,” says Mariah, who is about to release a new album. “I don’t think I ever was wild or anything. If it makes people happy to say that I was then so be it. I’m married now and happier than ever but still I’m the same normal girl I have always been.”

Carey recently hinted her happiness with Cannon has caused her to put on weight.

“I love to eat,” she said in June. “I never knew I could be this happy — it’s pure bliss.

“I’m a curvy girl and switch around with my diets all the time. I love to eat.”
