Daniel Craig has become a laughing stock on the set of his new Broadway play — after he demanded 24/7 security.
The James Bond star apparently told producers of A Steady Rain that he needs a bodyguard on call as he prepares for his Broadway debut.
But Craig’s request was rejected — because his costar Hugh Jackman has not asked for any security.
“Everybody thinks it’s funny because the truth is, Daniel rarely gets approached by the public in the street and at restaurants — especially now that he has the huge handlebar mustache,” dished a Broadway insider. “Security and secrecy around the show are so tight that Jackman and Craig are rehearsing at a secret location outside the city.”
Craig has reportedly rented a $38,000-a-month apartment for his stint in the play.
