DJ AM’s funeral took place in Los Angeles Wednesday.
The celebrity spinner (real name Adam Goldstein) — who was found dead in his New York City apartment at 5:20 p.m. Friday (September 28) — was laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in West Los Angeles.
Guests including Goldstein’s former fiancee Nicole Richie, Blink 182’s Travis Barker and DJ Jazzy Jeff gathered at the site just after 3pm.
At around 4pm, guests traveled to a Jewish cemetery in the city where AM was buried.

A memorial for the star will take place Thursday, with the invitation revealing it will pay tribute to the musician’s battle with substance abuse.
“The format of the evening will be in the style of an open 12-step meeting,” the invitation said. “Adam’s friends both from his life in recovery, as well as those from other areas of his life are welcome. We ask only that everyone adhere to the tradition of anonymity and let what they hear there, and who they see there, stay there.”
Although the cause of Goldstein’s death remains unclear, it has been reported he was found with undigested painkillers in his stomach and mouth.
A crack pipe and some of the illegal drug were also discovered near his body, with his representative admitting he was due to go to rehab to battle his addiction.
The musician died with a $1 million estate and no will.
His mother Andrea Gross wants to oversee the estate, according to papers filed in Los Angeles.
