Janet Jackson took to her Twitter Wednesday to express her grief over the death of her superstar brother, the King of Pop Michael Jackson.
“I love you, Mike, and I miss you,” Janet, 43, wrote. She signed her Tweet “Dunk,” which is Michael’s nickname for her.
Janet was among the 200 family members and close friends who attended Michael’s funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary in Glendale, Calif. late Thursday afternoon.
Elizabeth Taylor, Lisa Marie Presley, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Macaulay Culkin, Corey Feldman, Mila Kunis and Barry Bonds were among the celebrity guests at the sunset ceremony.
The funeral — estimated to have cost more than $1m — had been due to start at 7pm but was delayed by more than an hour as guests waited for the family to arrive.
Michael’s father Joe Jackson arrived separately for the service but took a seat alongside his wife Katherine. Jackson’s children — Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket — were among the last to take their seats just after 8.15pm. They sat on the front row, between Katherine and Michael’s sister LaToya.
Meanwhile, it has been claimed Janet is set to discuss Michael’s death with American magazine Harper’s Bazaar
“She is giving them the world exclusive and is going to be on the cover,” a source said.
