Lily Allen ‘Serious About New Man’
Lily Allen has given a “sure sign” that she’s serious about her new man Sam Cooper — the couple went to an awards show and she agreed not to take her Blackberry!
Cooper apparently told Allen he’d only accompany the singer to Tuesday night’s GQ’s awards — where she was named woman of the year — if she left her phone at home and gave him her full attention.
And Lily agreed!
“Sam never really goes to parties like GQ and going as Lily’s date is a big thing for them,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.
“So he made her promise she wouldn’t ignore him by Twittering all night on her phone. It drives him insane. And she won’t embarrass him by getting too drunk.
“That’s a sure sign that Lily is serious about her bloke.”
Lily, 24, has previously revealed how her Twitter action riles her man.
“My boyfriend gets really, really angry with me because he’s just like ‘I just want to spend some time with you, do we have to have one and a half million people in the room with us at one time?’” she said.
“I’m like ‘Yes, shut up.”‘

the last time Lily Allen appeared to be a drunken mess in public was on September 2 2008 (the G.Q. awards with Elton John) Those exaggerated stories have disappeared in the past year. Losing weight, finding a normal 9 to 5 guy, suing tabloid magazines, & getting court orders to (pretty much) keep the paps from stalking her, shows that not only were the previous stories exaggerated by the tabloid press/media but that Lily Allen has backbone (..ah no pun intended) for taking them on.
I agree… She HASN’T self-destructed at all… To the contrary, she has it together and maintains her integrity all the way. She looks great as well… she practices yoga & a healthy, organic diet, too. She’s such a smart cookie. Go Lily! You are a refreshing babe!
I do wish that she would nix all smoking though, but nobody’s perfect. She’s such a cutie and fashionista that I enjoy. 100% vintage Lily.
