Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron ‘Not Splitting’

Zac Efron and Vanessa HudgensSources close to Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have shot down claims the couple is on the verge of a split.

It was reported Tuesday the High School Musical costars were not seeing eye-to-eye of late and their relationship was close to collapse.

“The pressures of fame and the fact they are not working together any more has really taken its toll,” said a source close to the couple. “They are both so busy with their individual projects and Zac finds it hard to cope with all the attention Vanessa gets from guys when he’s not around.

“They’re trying to make more time to see each other to work things out but right now it’s not going well.”

However, reps for Hudgens and Efron say they’re unaware of an impending split and a source close to Zac felt the rumor was unsubstantiated.

    Yeah that’s what I thought. It’s just negative PR like with so many other celebrities, ie, Rob Pattinson. I will be so glad when people stop believing these type of public relation stunts and force these firms who represent celebrities to be more positive and to write less trash talk and negative gossip about their clients. I also wish that everyone would realize that nobody knows what is going on in their private lives and that is the way it should be. Leave them alone and let them have their own private life. If they break up we will know it sooner or later (when they want us to know) and if they are happy and are together let them be. Either way I still enjoy their acting and singing.

    tami – Ashley does NOT want Zac for herself. She is best friends with Zac AND Vanessa, and she’s dating someone right now. She’s said many times that she and Zac have never been attracted to each other. And as far as Nikki, she and Zac are great friends as well. There was never anything romantic between them.

    Zac Efron has a new girlfriend.. actually fiance. He’s been flying to IL when he has the time but it’s very rare to found out information. I saw him with a girl named Katarina and they were all over each other. Out at dinner at Red Lobster i was there and he got down on 1 knee and proposed to the girl. They’ve been good friends for a while and dating for 4 months now. I’ve never seen Zac so happy and no wonder him and vanessa broke up!
