Nicole Richie: ‘I Was Never Anorexic’

Nicole Richie has shot down claims she used to suffer from anorexia.
The former Simple Life star says despite being extremely thin, she didn’t have an eating disorder.
“In the beginning, I was known for standing next to Paris Hilton, who is the skinniest person in the world — anybody would look a little thick next to her!” said Richie. “Then, after I lost weight, I was criticized for being too skinny. You can’t win.
“I was never anorexic, though.”
“I spoke to my dad about my weight,” added Nicole, the daughter of legendary singer Lionel Richie. “He was concerned when he read what was being said about my health, but I kept assuring him that I always felt fine.”
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Richie — who is expecting her second child with fiance Joel Madden — is feeling guilty about the recent death of her former boyfriend Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein.
“She’s has a lot of guilt,” a source told the National Enquirer. “She knew that Adam had suffered anxiety since the plane crash, but she didn’t know how to help.
“Nicole and Adam grew apart. But she still loved him.
“Everyone is trying to help her through it, but she just can’t stop crying.
“She’s horrified. She had some idea he was depressed, but she had no idea he had started doing crack again.”
