Jennifer Aniston says falling in love is like buying a new house.
The former Friends actress — who has dated a string of Hollywood hunks since her 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt — says she still believes in finding “the one”.
“If you’re going into a rental situation, you can maybe paint the walls a little bit but ultimately the structure is what it is,” said the 40-year-old during an interview to promote her new movie Love Happens. “If you go into anything thinking that you’re going to change them, that’s not really fair.
“Sometimes, you buy and sometimes, you’re renting, and then you rent and you fall in love with it and you buy.”
Jennifer recently revealed that she didn’t set out to become one of the world’s most famous women.
“I’ve never sat and plotted out how I was going to become successful or famous,” she told Harper’s Bazaar Australia. “I just really wanted to work — to do good work — ever since I was at the High School of Performing Arts [in New York].
“My Russian acting coach told me I was a disgrace to the Moscow Theatre. So I was determined to prove him wrong and do good work. I’ve never had my eye on a prize. I really wanted to enjoy the passage of time. Before Friends and the success of that I have a graveyard of sitcoms that, thank god, you don’t know about. I was happy to get a job every year, whether it went on or not.”
