Matt Damon Wants to be The Next Clint Eastwood

Matt DamonMatt Damon wants to have Clint Eastwood‘s career.

The Hollywood star — who worked with the award-winning director and actor on upcoming movie Invictus — is in awe of Clint’s successful move behind the camera and would love to follow suit.

“I don’t get star-struck in front of someone like him because I don’t care about the superficiality in this business,” Damon said. “I care about his talent, and what really intrigued me was the fact that Clint made the transition from acting to directing.

“He started directing when he was 39. I’m 38 now. I’m hoping to have the same career trajectory where I make movies as an actor until I’m 40 and then I start directing.”

“Few people in life get to do something they love so much. I talk to other people I respect, like Ben Affleck and George Clooney, and all of us look up to Clint.”

Damon, 38, recently revealed why he and his fellow Hollywood stars are so smiley on the red carpet — they tell each other jokes!

“The trick is to tell a joke just before you walk out there,” he said. “There’s a lot of joking on the red carpet because it is a surreal thing and you need that.

      I agree! To many time's actors like to portray the Image of the macho male, while in the mean time act they act as though they are "man children or feminized men." Actors like Clint Eastwood and Stallone are the Last era of the men in Holly wood who Liked to be a man. Keep pretending Matt. You are better at it.

    there’s a lot to do to become a good director. sorry to the fans but matt is a long way from it, also applies to all young actors. they don’t have that character which outshines clint from others.
