Pink: ‘I’m Rough and Ready’

Pop punk Pink is beginning to understand why she’s such a big draw in Australia.
The Sober hitmaker — who has just completed an unprecedented 58-date arena tour Down Under — says the Australians love her because she’s “raw and authentic.”
“Australia likes their artists to be rugged and raw and authentic,” Pink told Rolling Stone magazine.
“America likes their artists to be glamorous and a little more packaged and glossy — like the difference between me and Beyonce.
“She’s just beautiful, she’s multi-talented, and she lives this jet-set lifestyle. And then there’s me: You would picture me out in a field boxing a kangaroo with make-up running down my face, crying about something that happened a week ago.”
