Taylor Swift says Kanye West‘s apology was “sincere” — and she accepted it.

The Stronger rapper called Swift shortly after her appearance on Tuesday’s The View to apologize for crashing her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday.

“Kanye did call me,” Taylor told ABC News Radio in an interview on Tuesday. “And he was very sincere in his apology and I accepted that apology.”

The young star credits the music community and her loyal fans for helping her accept Kanye’s apology.

“The support that I got from other artists and the fans and so many people sticking by me, that’s what got me to the place where I could accept that apology,” she explained. “And I’m just very thankful that everyone showed me so much love.”
