Patrick Swayze Wasn’t Afraid to Die

Patrick Swayze and Lisa NiemiPatrick Swayze told his loved ones he wasn’t afraid to die.

The Dirty Dancing star — who passed away Monday after losing his battle with pancreatic cancer — was a fighter until the end, refusing any extraordinary life-support measures and the comfort of a supervised death in the hospital.

“Patrick WAS Patrick,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“He said, ‘I’m going home,’” said the source. “He told the doctors that he was not going to take his last breath in a hospital room, smelling alcohol and hearing the beeps from a heart monitor.

“And that’s just what he did.

“Patrick went to the hospital shortly before his death, and his doctors gave him the news he never wanted to hear — that there was nothing else they could do.”

Meanwhile, Swayze will reportedly be cremated later this week.

    Man, such a heartbreaking story. It is so sad to hear about his death. My great aunt just died of Pancreatic cancer, and her sister died of it several years ago. It is such a painful thing to watch, knowing that they are suffering and even with the care of a nurse, it is just knowing that their days are numbered that makes it so hard. Prayers go out to his family.

    the only thing i can say is we were going to see patrick in london along side clair sweeney i think in guys and dolls but never did and so i lost the chance to see him , god bless you.
