Taylor Swift got a “pep talk” from Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford the day after she was ambushed at the MTV Video Music Awards by Kanye West.

At the Kings of Leon concert in NYC Monday night, Crawford, 24, spotted Swift and gave her a huge hug.

“I’m so proud of you,” he reportedly told Swift, 19. “Don’t let anyone ever take your spotlight ever again.”

“Chace is like an older brother type and is very protective over Taylor,” a source told Us Weekly magazine.

Kanye came under fire for storming the stage during Swift’s big moment as she was being presented with the Best Female Video prize.

The rapper grabbed the microphone and told the star-studded audience Beyonce Knowles should have won, but has since apologized to Taylor personally for wrecking her evening.

Even the Barack Obama thinks Kanye’s a jackass.
