Patrick Swayze Tribute to Air on Dancing With The Stars

Posted by Adam

Patrick Swayze and Lisa NiemiPatrick Swayze will be remembered during a special episode of Dancing With The Stars next week.

The tribute will be broadcast on Wednesday.

“He was one of the few people to integrate dance with being an A-list actor,” said executive producer Conrad Green. “He inspired many people and many of our pros to dance.

“We want to honor the great moments he’s brought to film by getting our dancers to do their interpretation to some music from his films.”

Dirty Dancing star Patrick — who was a guest mentor on the first season of Dancing With The Stars in 2005 — died Monday after losing his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

Patrick Swayze was one of the best actors that has ever been in movies. His performances have always been great. From Dirty Dancing to Road House to Ghost To Black Dog and I could go on and on. He was definitly one of the world’s favorites and mine. I think I’m right when I say he will be greatly missed, but will always be loved and remembered in our hearts. All my prayers are with his family and friends.

The very first time I saw Patrick Swayze I thought he had something that other actors didn’t. I thought he was a true gentleman and it was real not acted. He seemed to be a very caring and thoughtful man who would probably do anything for someone and not even think twice about it, that is very hard to find now days. I just want to say that his family and friends are in my prayers and he will be very missed. He will have a special place waiting for him on high.

Patrick was truely a wonderful actor. The past few years we have lost several actors/singers/famous people. All of which will be missed but not like Patrick. Yes he had his moment as we all do but he was a very dedicated husband, son, brother but more than that a dedicated star to all his fans. He continued on until the very end with Beast! Which was great! He played several different types of roles and did remarkable in each and everyone of them. From Red Dawn to Dirty Dancing to the Beast. May the GOOD LORD be with his family, friends and fans and my he rest in peace.

This to me comes just as close if not closer than Michael Jackson’s death. I mean to this day I watch Dirty Dancing with my silly added commentary like it was my first time. It seems that we always tend to lose the good ones in life, wouldn’t ya say?

Patrick is not only a great actor but a great and genuine person in real life who was smart enough to keep him and his family away from all the hollywood glimmer by having the ranch. He is a person of great character on and off the screen.

Patrick was a true gentleman of Texas and treated the women in his life, his mother, his wife-Lisa, withlove and respect. He showed respect to his co-stars as well.He was very family dedicated, and a hard working actor that was great at his craft.
He was not afraid to show real emotion on or off the screen. This made him very human like the rest of us and one of the reasons as fans we could relate to him and love as if he was a personal friend. His big smile and wonderful personality will always be remembered. He will be truly missed by family, friend, and fans.He fought the brave fight right to the end.

Being a teenager in the 50′s, the music from the movie “Dirty Dancing” brought back many fond memories. Have followed his career from the start. My oh my what a dancer!! Not to mention his acting ability, he was simply great in North and South! As a native Texan myself, proud to have enjoyed his good work and proud of him being a Texan also.
May the good Lord reach out to his wife and give her his gracious peace.

Shortly after emigrating to the U.S. , I saw “Dirty Dancing” on T.V. over and over, about 70 times to this day. This movie, through his actors, Patrick Swayze in particular, helped me cope with life here for the first few years .I consider him an very talented actor and an superb dancer, the kind they don’t make very often.
My heart goes out to Lisa and family , I wish I could do something for you !
My condolences to you and family. God Bless !

Patrick seemed dedicated to his family first, then to his craft. He nurtured them both, and we certainly have enjoyed the unique and earthy style of his work. His dancing and acting gifts will be long enjoyed by all who wish to partake of his huge efforts in these areas.

It is simply to easy for us to say we are thinking of the family, when we really don’t know what they are going through, but perhaps when we look at a beautiful ballet, or a waltz, or a sunrise, we will remember a man who touched our hearts in a unique and wonderful way…and then, we can say a prayer for those who remain.
