Avril Lavigne is set to be a single lady — she’s split from husband Deryck Whibley, according to reports.

The Complicated hitmaker apparently asked Sum 41 star Deryck — who she wed three years ago — to move out of their $9.5 million, 12,00-square-foot estate in Los Angeles after calling time on their relationship.

“She dumped him and told him she was leaving him,” a source told Us Weekly. “She wants to move on. Divorce papers will be filed any day now.”

Deryck is apparently “crushed” by Avril’s decision, and was keen to work through their problems.

Lavigne’s rep could not be reached; Whibley’s rep had no comment.

Earlier this week Showbiz Spy reported how the couple were on the brink of a divorce because of Avril’s refusal to start a family.

“I think Avril and Deryck are now just a divorce waiting to happen,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“The poor guy thought a baby would bring them back together. He’s crazy in love with her. But Avril wants less responsibility, not more.

“It is as if she’s ready to pull the plug on their life together. She acts like she just wants to be free.

“She’s breaking Deryck’s heart. He told Avril, ‘I want a family. We belong together.’

“But Avril immediately pulled away from him and has been partying ever since.

“He’s told Avril how he feels. The rest is up to her.”

Of course, split rumors have been rampant for months — Avril has Avril often been seen partying with friends without her husband.

In June, Deryck went to the Los Angeles premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen alone, while Avril spent a week holidaying in Saint-Tropez with pals.
