Michael Jackson Didn’t Like Pepsi

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson didn’t like Pepsi — despite recording a commercial for the famous drinks brand.

Jackson — who died June 25 at the age of 50 — filmed the famous commercial, in which his hair was set on fire, at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium on Jan. 27, 1984.

“I hate Pepsi. I hated doing that dumb commercial,” Jackson reportedly said during a taped interview with the ghost writer of his autobiography Moonwalk.

“The only thing I liked about it was working with the children.”

Meanwhile, Jackson’s pal David Gest — who is making a documentary called My Best Friend Michael, which he promises will show this real side of the star — has revealed how the tragic King of Pop “talked tough” and had a deep voice.

“I’m showing an interview I did with Michael that shows him talking in his real voice, like, ‘C’mon David, let’s get it done now’,” David said.

“You know — he doesn’t talk like, ‘Hi, how are you?’ He talks very, very tough. I’m telling you the truth.”

michael *did* have a deep voice. It was stunning. When u actually talked to him… He would speak in this low… Deep… Sexy voice & u were like “what the hell?!”
michael was very sweet, positive, & charming. But I’ve seen him get angry… & his real voice comes out… & he gets rough & wants to get down to buisness. It was the sexiest thing on the planet. Ppl dont even know.

I beleive you. I’ve heard his deep voice many times, too. We jokingly refer to it as “his man voice.” If anybody is curious for a flavor of it, listen to his track 2000 Watts off the Invincible album.

Well, it was a known fact that he does not like or drink pepsi -infact, in the commercials he never drink/hold a can of pepsi -that was part of the contract and the pepsi people had no problem with it, heck he was able to sell the product and pepsi made millions out of it.

This is not a news at all…geez.

Michael was very shy and reserved in social situations (especially media interviews), his voice would rise into his throat and become a bit nasal. The same thing happens to me and people used to accuse me of manipulating my voice to get attention or be seductive like Marilyn Monroe. I don’t think that he did it on purpose, he was just bashful. I am tired of constant insinuations that Michael was some sort of insincere master manipulator. I also think that we Americans are very shallow when we evaluate Michael Jackson: we obscess over his skin, hair, nose, weight, sexual orientation…. We overlook his intelligence, generosity, kindness, playfulness and his emotional suffering.

David was a close, long-time friend so it’s only natural that Michael would relax and ‘let it all hang out’ around him. He also felt comfortable around his fans, it’s the media and persecutory public that he did not want to interact with.

The ’stories’ the news media were salivating in expectation of getting in the aftermath of Michael’s death are not materialising so they’re just grasping at anything! Michael’s beautiful deep, velvety voice is well known to his fans and others who love him.

Gee, I just heard 2000 Watts – and I’m stunned. It can’t be him – If so, his voice must’ve been, you know, made deeper. I mean, I’ve never heard him like that before! He’s voice is light and cute O_o I thought ..

But I also recognize that situation. I talk in a very high tone when I talk with people I don’t know or with my teachers for some reasons..
