Jay-Z has beaten Elvis Presley — in the charts!

The rapper is celebrating his 11th American number one after his latest album, Blueprint 3, topped the Billboard 200.

It makes Jay, real name Shawn Corey Carter, the solo artist with the most chart-toppers in US chart history.

Elvis had just 10 number ones.

According to Billboard, Jay — who is married to former Destiny’s Child star Beyonce — has so far sold around 476,000 copies of the LP.

However, The Beatles are still the most successful act on the US chart, with 19 US number one albums under their belt.

The legendary four-piece also feature heavily on the US chart this week following the release of their remastered back catalog, which have sold a total of 626,000 copies in the US.

Jay, 39, recently gave an interview to US chat show host Oprah Winfrey, where he revealed he used to be a pretty hardcore drug dealer. He’s obviously come a very long way!
