Ricky Gervais loved working with Jennifer Garner on their new movie — because the actress is always so “pleasant” to everyone.

The pair star together in The Invention Of Lying, which Ricky also wrote and directed.

“Jennifer’s an evil, evil person who tortures kittens and sells smack to children — that’s your Jennifer Garner — no she’s Miss Goody Two Shoes, we cast her to undermine her image a little bit.

“I saw her on a chat show. I’d worked with her before on Alias and she’s always happy and always pleasant to everyone really and when she swears she says thing like ‘darnit’ and ‘darn’ — now even The Waltons go a bit further. Her favorite swear word is ‘rats’ — that’s not a swear word! Rats isn’t a swear word.

“I can work with a crew and after six weeks I don’t know what they do let alone their names. She’s coming in on the second day ‘Bob how’s the kids? Hey Gina I’ll see you later.’ She knew them all… she’s alright.”
