Victoria Beckham has called on the media to stop criticizing her weight — insisting it’s “irresponsible” to do so.

Following on from Wednesday’s reports she’s starving herself to death, the former Spice Girl insists she’s happy, healthy and eating properly.

“I am fine — happy and healthy,” she told the UK’s Daily Mirror newspaper. “It’s irresponsible when people obsess about my shape and size.

“I appreciate there are young girls and women who look at me as a role model and it is simply untrue to say I do not eat and I am unhealthy.

“I have a healthy diet, a healthy lifestyle and plenty of energy to run after my three energetic boys and travel the world managing my fashion business.”

Victoria — who is married to soccer star David Beckham — also spoke about her happiness in her new career as a fashion designer.

“The response I’ve had to my designs has been mind-blowing,” she said. “I am so happy.

“Life for me is great at the moment. I feel very lucky.”
