Jay-Z: ‘Lil Mama Was Outta Line’
Jay-Z thought Lil Mama was “outta line” for jumping on stage as he performed at an awards show.
The Run This Town hitmaker star closed last week’s MTV Video Music Awards by doing a duet with Alicia Keys.
But he was interrupted when the 19-year-old Hip-Hop star crashed the stage.
“To interrupt that moment for us, I don’t think that was the right thing to do,” Jay told radio station Hot 97.
“It was a lot of planning that went into that performance. To disrupt that was outta line.
But Jay admitted there was nothing he could do about Lil Mama joining them on stage.
“What I’mma do, fight Lil Mama?” he said.
Keys has also commented on the incident.
“We can appreciate her being overwhelmed and inspired but we would have appreciated it if she would have did it from her seat,” she said.

Jay Z if you’re reading this or have yur people reading this…you’re not that serious, you nor A.Keys. How can you defend a grwon ass man snatching a moment from a young and upcoming artist and in the same breathe put Lil Mama on blast as though it ruined everything? She just go caught up in the moment! Dag you’ve performed over how many times? Is it that seriuos for you? And if it is I’m glad I’ve never really been a fan of yours and you’re a sad individual. Grow the hell up dude. In the words of Huey, “Real recognizes real and you looking real unfamiliar right about now!”
