Pamela Anderson Debt-Ridden — Report

Pamela AndersonPamela Anderson is “drowning” in debt, it has been claimed.

The former Baywatch babe allegedly owes $1.1 million to various construction companies for remodeling work on her Malibu home as well as back state taxes, L.A. County records show.

“A lot of people are owed a lot of money,” Jay Bruder, boss of Bruder Construction, told Star magazine.

In June, Bruder filed a $674,043 lien against Anderson for the cost of “labor and materials and subcontractors to remodel main house, construct foundations for guest house.”

Pamela also owes $252,360 to California’s Franchise Tax Board in unpaid income tax from 2007.

Jim Brown, the president of Mini-Haulers, which carted the construction debris from Pam’s house, said the star’s failure to pay his $1,975 bill has affected his family. “Putting food on the table isn’t easy in this economy. When someone doesn’t pay their bills, it’s that much harder!” he told Star.

Reps for Anderson are yet to comment on the claims.

    It is a Shame what a set of big boobs can get away with. In this country we have lost values, pride, and respect for others. People doing work for pay, need the money for their families. Our system allows this type of robbery, the flashy get away with ripping the workers and the poor. Our gov should come in and tape off her house, auction it off and pay the debts for sure.

    How about another broad taken advantage of? Did you hear her side of the story? Don’t you think contractors would want to take advantage of her? She’s in a dispute with the general contractor. Hmm…shouldn’t the general contractor be the one to pay the subcontractors anyway? Get all the facts. Then think about it. Then realize, it’s not your business.

    Subcontractors are maggots. Their bills need to be audited. Subs need to be watched to ensure that they are using the materials they claim. Subs need to be supervised by a general construction to validate hours, number of laborers, necessary number of laborers needed per task and work performed. Liens can be released in court.

    Do most people even have any idea what’s going on with the construction industry ? My husband and millions of other workers went from being able to take care of his family ,and 12 years of job security, to nothing but odd jobs and unemployment. Even people who are lucky enough to find jobs again are out of work in 2 or 3 months when work runs out. In addition,these men have been forced to take pay cuts of up to half the old amount.
    Give me a break!Pam Anderson saw the current state of the economy and decided to take advantage of these guys. They will be lucky to get the cost of materials.All that work is for nothing. In a non-depressed economy,she would never get away with this.
    I agree they should take her house and pay in full what she owes.
    Then again,what do we expect from someone who made her living with her tits and is too old to do so now?Get a real job,Pam,if anyone will have you.
