Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom Married!

Khloe KardashianKhloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are husband and wife — they married Sunday after dating for just one month!

The ceremony, which began Sunday afternoon just after 5 p.m. with the traditional Wedding March, was held at the Los Angeles mansion of Kardashian family friend and music manager Irving Azoff, according to Us Weekly.

Kardashian’s immediate family members — mom Kris Jenner, stepfather Bruce Jenner, sisters Kim, 28, and Kourtney, 30 and brother Robert — were among the 200 guests, who received cupcakes in purple and yellow Lakers colors as favors.

Celebrities in attendance included Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Osbourne, Chelsea Handler, Lara Spencer, Brittny Gastineau and Lala Vazquez.

The nuptials were recorded for a future episode of Khloe’s E! reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Kardashian’s bridesmaids wore short strapless lilac dresses.

Non-traditional ceremony

Before the wedding, Bruce said his stepdaughter’s wedding would be unconventional.

“Khloe keeps saying she does not want a traditional wedding,” Jenner said. “She does not want the first dance thing. There is no maid of honor as of right now.”

Jenner says he heard about his stepdaughter’s engagement on Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show.

“Honestly I thought it was a joke,” he says. “Then I was on the driving range later that day and someone came up to me and said, ‘Congratulations, I hear your daughter is getting married.’ Then it was on the news that night and I thought, maybe there is something to this.”

Previous reports have claimed OK! magazine splashed out around $300,000 for photos of Khloe and Lamar’s big day.

Us Weekly and People made lesser bids, the New York Daily News reported.

Reps for the mags and camp Kardashian are yet to comment on those reports.

Creating buzz

As we all know, the newlyweds had only been dating a few weeks before they took the plunge and walked down the aisle. So why the rush?

Insiders have speculated that the couple — mainly Khloe — was eager to marry as soon as possible to create “buzz” for her reality TV show.

“It creates a lot of buzz that the wedding is being planned and happening within such a short period of time,” a source said. “It’s going to make for huge ratings, and Khloe and Lamar are sure about everything, so they all figured, ‘Why not?!’

“It may seem like it’s a quickie wedding to everyone else but Khloe knows what she wants.

“She and Lamar started talking about getting married really soon after they met. They knew this was it, and they’re just having fun with this whirlwind.”

“It’s happening so quickly because of the show,” adds another source. “They want to create some drama for the cameras. Meetings and decisions are being delayed to the last minute.”

    Some people are quick to judge and seat around doing just that. Some may think this is just for HOLLYWOOD. But honestly
    I THINK today’s life style are so different from yesterdays. Some people would rather LIVE and make choices today. When you live today you can always took back and see the impact of your choices. I hope you will can see laughter and tears of joy.

    I know that many may think that Bruh’s comments were racist and harsh but unfortuneately at the end of the day they are in some ways true. I think that many black women feel as if their own men have turned their back on them. It is no surprise to me and my friends that some people would be upset about the situation. It does, in many social circles, seem as though the minute a young black man reaches a certain pinacle of success he deliberately feels the need to find a woman outside of his race to complete, what he considers to be the “perfect package”. I am not saying that all interracial relationships are like this, on the contrary, the majority are based in love. However, one has to ask themselves can anyone be in love after just one month? Especially when Odom had a girlfriend of many years who he had three children with! Why did he not do the mother of his children the same honor and give her the multi-million dollar wedding that she and their children deserve? It is just sad! Can you picture this impulsive party girl as a wholesome stepmother? We will just have to wait and see.

    Trust me the package is not complete when a Black man, marries or dates a white woman. A white woman will never amount up to a Black woman. Black women have strong backbones where as a white woman is weak and inferior. A black man can get away with doing lots of wrong when with a white woman then he can ever get away with a black woman. Let me tell you pick up the Black Enterprises magazine, there are a lot of both successful Black males and females in this world, just becasue they are not reconized like they should be, we do exist. But there are also couples who have been married after a couple of years of friendship and still they get divorce. I don’t have the statistic and who am I to judge, well then I wish both of the turtledoves much of luck and may there be a happy ending till dead do them part. Enjoy every moment being married.

    I’ve read these comments and see both sides. I was at one time very upset with black men marrying white women. I couldn’t understand why they would do it. Then I met my wife. I tried everything I could to please the black folk by trying not to fall in love w/ this woman. I came to my senses and realize I can’t live my life for every black person in this world. We love each other, who in this world has a say on who I can marry and not. I personally feel they got married to soon but who am I to tell them. Love has no color!!!
