Michael Jackson Tapes Reveal Star’s Acne Hell

Posted by Adam

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson says a breakout of acne in his teenage years left him mentally scarred and paranoid about his appearance.

In an interview recorded in the 1980s and obtained by Britain’s News of The World newspaper, the tragic King of Pop says he felt so insecure, he didn’t feel he had anything to be proud of — despite his huge success.

“My skin broke out real bad,” said Jackson, who died June 25. “It was tough — especially after everyone had been calling me cute for such a long time.

“And the more I worried about it the worse I got.”

Michael said that performing on stage was the only way to take his mind off his looks.

“I wore hats, I kept my head down all the time, I wouldn’t look at people when I talked to them,” he explained. “I wouldn’t say nothin’ hardly. It was terrible. I felt I didn’t have anything to be proud of. My success meant nothing.

“On stage I didn’t think about it, it was gone. But when I came off stage, there it was again.”

When asked about cosmetic surgery, Jacko defended the procedure, saying everybody did it.  “I’m a perfectionist when it comes to skin,” he said.

“I would look in the mirror and I didn’t like they way I looked, so.. of course, never print this. Please don’t…

“But take Marilyn Monroe, and all those people. They got the works. Julie Andrews, Raquel Welch. Even Elvis. You look at his nose and the difference.. it’s true. But nobody ever mentions it.

“You can clear up physically but still mentally you’re scarred — so you really haven’t improved.”

First of all it’s JACKSON not JACKO!!! MIchael despised that name and you know it. Nobody likes to be called names. No one should be treated that way.
Second of all, Michael’s right, many other stars have gotten cosmetic surgery too, but they are not as ridiculed as MJ. I think MJ’s, however, looks more dramatic because of his unfortanate skin disease (viltiligo) that caused his skin to go unnaturally white. If he didn’t have the disease and still looked black (MJ will always be a black man though), i think the scrutiny would have also been less dramatic .

( don’t worry Michael, I have some bad acne too, your not alone, But you were strong and got through it even with the fastidious scrutiny of the ignorant media, so your okay)
    love you MJ
    RIP Michael Joseph Jackson

They know its “Jackson,” but such “labels” are reserved for black stars on this caliber, who have to be “brought down” by racist media working in partnership with “others” who seek to maintain the status quo and “social order.” Such lables are designed to undermine his effectiveness, and chip away at his credibility and influence. Nice try morons! Who can equal MJ’s success?!!! No one. Please understand folks… no black American male will EVER be allowed to reach such heights peacefully–not even one as fine and fly as Mr Jackson–whose artistry, by the way, is unequaled.

For those who haven’t seen it, there is a new blog about Michael and the unreleased track ‘Work That Body’ from the writer/producer of this track, Bryan Loren. He’s the guy that also wrote and produced a lot of the other unreleasd tracks that are floating around, including ‘She Got It. He also wrote and produced ‘Do The Bartman’. It’s cool. There is also an unreleased track by Janet from Rhythm Nation called ‘Work’. Check it out:

i know people have already said but il say it again-please stop calling him Jacko! the man has a name and dont like being called that so if you cant call him Michael for his sake then do it out of respect for his family friends and fans.
dontt know why so many people are scandalizing these tapes- none of this is really new-Michael said it all a million times, even in the bashir interviews, there was and is nothing strange about Michael, the only thing that is strange is the way people treated him an they still continue to do so, and its disgusting.

poor Michael!!!!!I understand his worries because the skin reflects the soul but for me he IS the most beautiful man in the world (in and out )love from Italy

Michael was a pure and giving soul with no hate or guilt, but in order to hurt innocent people the “media” always disprespected him with names and ugly, untrue accusations. Proves the media can’t handle beauty and in order to sell newspapers, magazines and tv commercials, they decided to make up something and create stories and lies around it. There used to be a time when they at least appeared to have honor, now I don’t watch or believe any of their lies! Now President Obama is their target — as a matter of fact anyone who’s not white with any money they are targetting. Wonder how it feels to die empty without a soul — oh yeah, like burning in hell for eternity where all the liars and haters are!!! RIP MJ — you’re enjoying peace in heaven now. God bless.

I myself suffer with acne and have had it since I was 8 years old, so I know how he felt. But if you’re beautiful on the inside you’re beautiful on the outside. I can’t think of a more sincere and genuine celebrity. MJ was so much more than his music. RIP Baby.
