Adrian Grenier insists he’s a “legitimate” rock star.

The 33-year-old TV hunk is frustrated that his band, The Honey Brothers, is being undermined by talk that they are riding on the success of TV hit Entourage and the fame of their star member to the point where they have turned down an offer of a gig on the show.

“We’re not really right for Entourage,” says Adrian. “We’re more new-age and folky. Also we are not looking for free handouts.

“We are a legitimate rock band in our own right so I want to keep that separate from the show.”

Twilight star Ashley Greene recently denied reports she and Adrian were dating.

“We ended up being at the same event and we were surfing, and we chatted and of course there happened to be a picture taken of that,” she said.

“And now we are dating!

“It’s kind of annoying sometimes because I have been linked to so many guys, but I have been single forever!

“I’m just like, ‘Ugh!’ You get the calls too, like, ‘Are you dating so and so?’
