Taylor Swift says her mom helps her “keep it real”.

The country music star, 19, says if her mom wasn’t unafraid to hurt her feelings or tell her when she is stepping out of line she could’ve gone off the rails by now.

“My mom is with me all the time and she makes me keep it real,” Taylor dished. “When you start making your way up it’s easy to surround yourself with people who just say yes to you all the time and tell you just what you want to hear, and my mom will never ever do that.

“She is not afraid of hurting my feelings or telling me something I don’t want to hear. It keeps me real and grounded.”

Taylor recently revealed that she’s been busy decorating the condo she’s just bought.

“I just bought my first condo in Nashville so I am always looking at tile samples and wallpaper now,” she said. “I’m so excited. It might seem old — but I’m having so much fun!

“I’m doing whimsical quirky eclectic tree house. I just really want it to be different from everywhere else I see. I love doing this interior designing.”
