John Mayer insists he doesn’t kiss and tell.

The singer — who has dated a string of Hollywood beauties, including Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson – says he keeps quiet about his breakups.

“I haven’t really been vocal about my break-ups,” Mayer said. “I don’t think you’ll find me in a whole bunch of places talking about it all.

“Everybody in life picks up little dignity lessons as they go and unfortunately while all these other great things have come into my life through what I do, one of the challenges is that I have to pick up my dignity lessons in public.

“There have been the occasional embarrassments in my life and they would be embarrassing enough between two people but I have mine played out in public. But on the whole I have kept quiet.”

Mayer, 31, recently praised his skills between the sheets.

“I have great balance and co-ordination,” he said. “Inventiveness. I am a very inventive lover, that’s the secret to my success.”
