Pamela Anderson has angrily denied claims she’s “drowning” in debt.

It had been reported that the former Baywatch babe owes $1.1 million to various construction companies for remodeling work on her Malibu home as well as back state taxes.

Anderson’s friend, Caitlin Ross, also claimed the star spent millions on her partying lifestyle.

“When you’re a superstar like Pam, you think the money will never stop,” Ross said.

“Pam hardly ever checked her bank account, she just assumed it was a never-ending reservoir, and she spent like it was.”

But Anderson has released a statement in an attempt to set the record straight.

“I’m financially secure,” she insisted. “It is true that I am in a dispute with some of the contractors working on my home.

“This is because after paying millions of dollars to build the house I continue to get bills from the contractors.

“My lawyers are reviewing the work done to see if the bills are fair. If they are, they’ll be paid. If they aren’t, they won’t be.”

Pamela also allegedly owes over $252,000 in taxes.

“On a separate issue, mistakes may have been made in calculating taxes owed,” reads the statement.

“We are now in the process of ensuring that any taxes owed are paid.”
