Emma WatsonEmma Watson is being stalked — at university!

The Harry Potter star is currently attending Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

She reportedly become a victim of “an orchestrated campaign of Ivy League harassment” as Harvard beat Brown 24-21 in Cambridge last weekend.

Watson was targeted by students from the monthly Harvard Voice magazine, who recorded the actress’ whereabouts during the game via Twitter.

Before the game, a blog post on the mag’s website said, “We will be Live-Tweetin’ the game and possibly stalking Emma Watson, so keep your eyes peeled for that, too!”

In one message on Twitter, they wrote, “Let’s go Hermione! Lolz,” in reference to her character in Harry Potter.

Another said, “EMMA WATSON HAS BEEN SPOTTED!!!”

The Harvard Voice also posted a picture of Watson on its Web site and proclaimed its stalking mission a “success.”

Some readers were furious. “There is a locatable cause of Watson’s experience at Harvard Stadium and a blameworthy party,” read one online rebuke. “Anybody can do anything unfeelingly to anybody in this day and age, especially if they feel imbued with entitlement from membership in Harvard College.”

The Voice eventually attached an editor’s note to its post of Watson’s photo, saying, “There seems to be much ado about nothing over this photo and liveblog. Understand that these live tweets were made to be intentionally outrageous and overblown.”

Emma, 19, has previously said she wants her time at uni to be as normal as possible.

“Until something comes along that I feel strongly about, like Hermione, I don’t want to act again,” she said in September.

“I probably sound like a paranoid nut, but I’m doing this because I want to be normal. I really want anonymity.”

    Yale is supposed to be a major university preparing Americas youg for leadership and carrers of importance and stature for the future and the best they can do is harass a young lady trying to get an education? maybe it should be Yale Middle School.

    lol no. This not about Yale. She goes to Brown not Yale. People please read before commenting. Emma wants normality, well that’s real life school for you. I do hope that she doesn’t get seriously hurt. :( She’s still a really great role model for going to school.

    Can no one read for comprehension any more. Watson was stalked by HARVARD students AT HARVARD in Cambridge, Massachusetts, while she was watching her own university, Brown, play an away match against Harvard as part of the Ivy League autumn sports season in American football.
    As the article here accurately states, “Watson was targeted by students from the monthly Harvard Voice magazine.”
    Previous to this incident AT HARVARD she had enjoyed peace and quiet at Brown.
    Is everything clear now?

    Why can’t some students leave Emma Watson alone?!? Hello? She wants to have a normal life. Everyone here in this world are equal so stop harrassing or stalking some famous people..I’m really glad Emma Watson is setting a good example..She, indeed, is a good role model…Isn’t Harvard students the top? If they are, why are they acting like this? They are sure not setting a good example….

    I think it’s a damn shame that Emma Watson is being stalked by kids from Harvard. To begin with, anyone who attends Harvard is accepted because of their “high class status” and their intelligence. It seems to me they should be taking their classes seriously by studying hard instead of planning their attack on Emma. These are spoiled, little rich kids who are making a bad name for Harvard and the other students there. I say Harvard faculty (along with their parents) should highly reprimand these kids! .

    A note to Emma…I’ve seen you grow up from the first Harry Potter movie to the present. You’ve not only got the brains, but you’re also very beautiful. Please don’t think that the rest of us Americans are anything like these kids. You deserve the best and I truly hope you’re able to blend in and live a normal life.

    Emma is a very smart, beautiful and young lady but she has also stole the hearts of every young man from the age 12 years old+ Im not famous but maby people from her school loves her that much and dont mean to “stalk”, maby she should interact with them more. sounds to me they are proud to have her =) Emma if you ever read this blog , hello from the Fox family and my kids love you and hope to see your work more in the future

    In all seriousness im pretty appauled by the behavior of whom we expect to be our future leaders and so forth just goes to show that some people never grow up even if they go to an ivy league school. But I will say that I expected more out of someone attending a school of such high stature. I think it is very pathetic to stalk someone futhermore more I feel terrible for her for this must be a very bad impression of her stay in the United States and people need to find something better to do then Tweet all of lifes moves exciting or NOT!!!

    I have read the comments of the people on here whom I guess are students at Harvard or Yale. How did they make it this far in their education. I have seen many spelled words. They should leave Emma alone and study much harder. They might then be worthy of the money their parents are putting into their education.

    Dear Jesus…if someone were just tweeting about the random whereabouts of some random hot chick, it would be funny and said hot chick would probably revel in the attention.

    Here are the sad facts. She applied for the job. Nobody came to her house and made her be Hermoine Granger. Now she’s achieved super fame, and wants to just blend.

    Ok…so don’t cash another royalty check, give back all the money and go to Denmark and “blend”. When Harry Potter and the Retired Sorcerer gets written, give the gig to Dakota Fanning, get a job at Wal-Mart and move on.

    Otherwise, remember that when you decide you want to be famous, if you’re successful, YOU’LL BE FAMOUS.

    This is an idiotic article. The Voice was FAKE live-tweeting. The people making those posts were not actually at the Harvard-Brown game. Nobody was stalking Emma Watson at the game. It was a joke, and some media outlets that have serious problems with fact-checking are trying to make a story out of it.

    That is horrible… Emma Watson is a person and wants nothing more then a normal College Education… The people from Harvard are just none but pigs that seek a popularity… If they were to put themselves in Emma’s shoes, I’m sure that they would want the same thing… I’m a big Harry Potter fan, but if I were to see any of the actors from that movie or any other movie for that matter, I know for a fact that I would talk to them or look at them, just like I look at and talk to my friends… Like PEOPLE not some famous person… People like that just need to get a life… They should be arrested for that crap.

    The one thing that strikes me in reading through these messages is the appalling spelling. Can none of you actually spell the simplest words any more? Has twitter turned American Kids into illiterate fools? It would seem so.

    Harvard is supposed to be where the best and brightest go but this story just highlights the fact that kids attending Harvard are as simple minded as you will find anywhere. America truly is doomed.

    You guys realize… harvard students will be smarter than 3-4 of you put together when that student graduates high school? Fanboyism is natural to all places, not limited to Harvard university. I mean, newspapers follow people all the time. You don’t see people nagging at reporters every time they stalk somebody. Just the pure fact that you people read what those reporters write about the result of their stalking means you people show the reporters a modicum of respect, despite the fact that those reporters may be some undereducated journalism major from some obscure location.     Someone could have his own stalker. This happened to my friend Isabella she was found dead at the park naked. She told me 4 days before she died that there is someone whose been watching and following her wherever she go. That person could be the person who killed my friend but no one knows who he is. There is no evidence so the case was still under investigation and hopefully we could find justice for her. This could happen to anyone it could be you, me or it could be your daughter or your son so before this will happen to anyone make sure that you’re prepared.
