Robert Pattinson: ‘Most People Have a Secret in Their Relationship’

Robert PattinsonRobert Pattinson says there’s something “dark” about Twilight sequel New Moon — because it explores the secrets people have in relationships.

The hunky actor — who is widely rumored to be dating his costar Kristen Stewart — insists the second film in the vampire franchise is “much more masculine” than the first.

“It is a love story, but there is something that gives a darkness to it,” Pattinson said of the film, which hits theaters NEXT MONTH! “I think most people like to have a secret in their relationship with their girl or boyfriend.

“It keeps things exciting. And, honestly, while it’s not an action film, this one is much more masculine. I didn’t feel as though I was doing a girly film and I could relate to this one way more.

“The second was always my favorite book and there is a lot of fighting in that. Also, in this one, what Edward goes through is a lot more relatable for guys, whereas in Twilight, it was quite difficult for me to express it.

“Anyone who has had a relationship break-up will understand if I have done it right.”

Meanwhile, Pattinson’s Twi costar Jack Hudson says the British star is virtually jailed in his hotel.

“I don’t think he gets to hang out with many people because he’s sort of jailed to his room,” Hudson said. “He can’t leave without being follow by a hundred people.

“There’s a price to fame. But hopefully he’s handling it okay.”

    Why cannot the public just back off?! The man has to have a life too! He is a gorgeous man and a wonderful actor, but leave his personal life alone and give him room to have a real life! I love to read about him as much as anyone, but is it better to hound him to death or to simply give him some privacy! I don’t want to lose one of the best actors to come around in this age!

    I don’t think he’s right for this role. Harry is more masculine. I also think the whole film is a mistake because it’s offensive to Prince Harry and has no ending, this monarch is young and alive so what’s the plot?

    omg i love the fact that robert and kristain are hangging out but the people need to stop making rumors and leave them alone. i mean if they date then that is amazing if they dont then ohh well i mean they have put so much effort into making the twilight series and they dont need people slowing them down and making them feel like they have to hide their life.
