Kristen Bell has shattered Russell Brand‘s image as a serial womanizer — insisting the British comedian is “extremely respectful” to members of the opposite sex.

Bell — who romped with the controversial funnyman in comedy movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall — says Brand’s bravado with women is all an act.

“I might be the only woman in the world who speaks about him like this but Russell is not who he says he is,” says Kristen. “He wants you to believe that he’s a womanizer but all guys secretly are.

“Maybe it’s because I’m as sassy as he is and I drew my line very quickly, but he was extremely respectful to me. We had to do love scenes and he was always concerned that the sheet was pulled up far enough.

“If I needed water he would get up and get it so I didn’t have to get out of bed in my underwear in front of the crew. He was very nice. He just has this game he plays.”

Meanwhile, Brand is reportedly dating singer Katy Perry.
