Beyonce Comments on Kanye West Controversy

BeyonceBeyonce has finally spoken out about the night Kanye West crashed Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV VMAs in September.

Kanye came under fire for storming the stage during Swift’s big moment as she was being presented with the Best Female Video prize.

The rapper grabbed the microphone and told the star-studded audience that Beyonce should have won.  “Yo Taylor,” Kanye said, “I’m really happy for you and I’ma let you finish, but Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time!”

West has since apologized for his actions.

Speaking to Gayle King at the recent Billboard Women In Music event, Beyonce said, “Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like, ‘You have this award’.

“And when they didn’t call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like, ‘No, no, no!’ and then he spoke, and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no!’”

“But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment — and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.”

    I’m sure Kanye is sorry now, but only because of all the ish he’s catching because of his behavior. He has no class and no respect for others. I think Beyonce is a wornderful artist, but she didn’t win. He needs to get over it and take a lesson from Beyonce. Kanye needs to learn to handle hisself with class, that is, if he ever gets another chance. If it were up to me, his career would be over!

    I admit, I would have liked if Beyonce got that award but Taylor has never gotten a VMA award. Kanye’s behaviour was very immature. And I feel just like gow he had the heart to give a public embarrasment, he shouldve had the heart to give Taylor a public apology.

    Beyonce still hasn’t said the obvious – it was rude and unprofessional of West. She seems to think it was okay because he did it in the name of art, meaning he thinks she is a better artists. What a vulgar egomaniac SHE is. We already knew that about West. But Knowles keeps showing her narcissism off more and more when she refuses to condemn West’s idiocy. Too bad he wasn’t at the Oscars when Jennifer Holiday won the Oscar, then he could have taken the Academy Award away from her in the name of art because, of course, Beyonce was better. BTW. Since when does West get to decide who gets to speak and when at awards shows? As in, “Ima let you finish” This guy should be banned from awards shows for life, even if he ever gets nominated, and somebody should talk to Beyonce about how to handle a situation with class. She still hasn’t said he was wrong. She can’t act.

      Um excuse me kim clark, but beyonce actually showed total respect to taylor. When beyonce won video of the year, she welcomed taylor to give her acceptance speech, even when beyonce should have had the limelight. Because it was beyonce’s award (video of the year). So the fact that your saying she is an egomaniac shows that u actually dont know what that means. This act of beyonce’s was credited with her being a classy lady worldwide. So when u say she has no class, u must also think that everyone in this world has no class, apart from u. Also kanye is his her friend and she did say that he was shocked that beyonce had not won. But she said when he went up there she felt like no he shouldnt do that. So what part did u not understand kim? Also let’s face it, taylor swift winning the best female was a joke on its own. Beyonce deserved it hands down. Also beyonce has received many high prolific awards/nominations for her acting in movies, so i guess your a better judge of that as well. Really go hate on someone who is actually worth hating on.
