R. Kelly Admits He’s Illiterate
R. Kelly has been harboring a secret all these years — he’s illiterate.
The Ignition hitmaker says that despite his musical talents, he can’t read and barely made it through grade school.
“When I was trying to make it out here, I already knew, and I was stubborn about it,” he said. “I don’t even read really and I’m not afraid to say that. My cousins and brothers used to tease me ‘you can’t even read right. How you think you’re going to come up?’
“The only reason I graduated from grammar school is because I had a great jump shot. I went to high school and [my teacher] told me ‘you will one of the greatest writers of all time.’ I believed. You [have to] believe it. You can’t believe [anything] if you’re hating. You can’t achieve [anything] if you’re hating.”
In June last year a Chicago jury found the singer, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, not guilty of all 14 counts of videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl.

This shows that what God has planned for you will happen. It is never to late to learn, it took a real man to admit he has opportunities he has yet to conquer. R. Kelly you were born with a gift of talent from God. Like most men you have made mistakes in your personal like; learn from it and move on.

Ooops my bad I read it wrong at first.
This man is so stupid; think of all the contracts he’s signed and he can barely read?! How does he even know for sure that he owns the rights to the songs he’s “written?” The fact that he’s STILL illiterate shows he has no interest in ever learning; he should’ve made it a point to learn BEFORE he blew up as a solo artist.
It’s not THAT hard.

I can’t believe this man couldn’t read or write and he is so creative in his songs and very talented I can barely believe that and he suppose to have written all his songs that is crazy
