Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Still Waiting For Breaking Dawn to be Greenlit

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are still waiting patiently to hear if they’ll be starring in the fourth Twilight movie — because Breaking Dawn is yet to be greenlit.

Despite speculation about when production of Breaking Dawn will begin; who will be cast; and when the film will be released, author Stephenie Meyer still hasn’t given producers the go ahead to make the fourth Twilight book into a film.

“The film has not been greenlit — and thus no decisions about the film’s shooting location, start date, the director, etc… have been made,” said a spokesman for Summit Entertainment.

Twilight sequel New Moon is due to hit theaters this November.

Eclipse — the sequel to New Moon, which is currently being filmed in Vancouver, Canada — will hit theaters June 2010.

In September, Pattinson hinted at the possibility of a fourth Twilight flick.

“If everything goes as scheduled, in January I’ll be filming Bel Ami in Paris for 3 months, after which I’ll start filming the fourth and last Twilight movie Breaking Dawn,” the hunky British star told a French magazine.

“I’m pretty much booked for the next two years. I’ve got one week at the end of the summer to see my friend, whom in the end, I’ll forget even exists. It’s Crazy!”

Lautner, 17, recently gave his opinion on the possibility of a Breaking Dawn movie.

“I’m sure it would be different,” he said. “It was definitely a surprise for me when I read the book.

“But we’re just trying to take it one movie at a time, and nothing’s been confirmed yet on the fourth, so we’re just staying focused on Eclipse at the moment.”

    If they make a fourth film and they don’t cast Rob and Kristen a lot of fans will be disappointed and won’t see the movie = loss of millions.

    I agree with Cassie. Look at the all the people that fought to kept Taylor as Jacob…my point exactly. To me, I think they should give the actors a break for a little bit. Like a season or two. I know if I had to do 3 movies back to back plus more movies on the side, I would be exhasted!

    I agree Trish…….I think they need a break, but I also think that this movie should not be rushed like the last three. Breaking Dawn is so much more complicated, and I don’t think a rush job would do it justice.

    I can not imagine Breaking Dawn done by anyone but the current cast members. Of course no one knows what the reaction to the first movie would have been had Rob and Kristen not starred, but my guess is, pretty close to the same. BUT if it is changed now it would be total disaster for Summit. Personally, I wouldn’t spend a copper penny if the original cast doesn’t come back.

    I can understand why Stephanie Meyers is stressed. Someone hacked in her computer and published her work on the internet. I would love to see all the same actors and actresses. They’re all very good at what they do and with Rob and Kristen together now the shoot of the 4th film would come out so amazing. Just don’t get pregnant Kristen you’re to young!

    If they do the fourth movie without Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattz and Taylor Lautner…..
    They will probably lose fans of the series…
    and I don’t think that they (you) would want to lose their fans…

    PS: Can’t wait for New Moon and Eclipse to come out…

    I really hate that whoever that creep is that broke into Stephenie’s computer and then had the balls to print her work. That person is a true scum bucket. I believe that and know that a person does reap what he/she sows and later than he/she sows greater than he/she sows! That person will regret what they did. Mabe not today or next month but they will most assured. Everyone if he/she is true with themselves will say that they agree!

    I don’t understand why they can’t make Breaking Dawn a three hour movie like they did with Titanic. This is Stephanie’s baby, I know she realizes that there is only so much from the book that you can put in a movie. Still DUDE these movies have made them lots of mula they have to think this throughly.

    I don’t see why they wouldn’t make the fourth book into a film? I mean, with CGI nowdays, anything is possible in film. Producers are hardly gonna make the first three films and leave the fourth, I mean, that’s just stupid. I think the fourth one will be made, but its just gonna take alot longer to prepare and put together than the first three films. It’ll be a long wait, but I think it will deffo be made. Xx

    He’s got the best personality. Good looks get your attention but actual substance retains it. He’s got the “IT” factor. He’s gorgeous, talented and humble.. you don’t find guys like that anymore especially famous ones.

    He may not be going on many dates but he’s DEFINITELY getting some. He’s young and right now he needs to focus on his career more than anything if he wants a long one. I wouldn’t pity him not going on any dates. The boy drips sex.. he’s definitely being satisfied.

    well i agree they should make the 4th one. why even think of making the first 3 if u were not gonna follow through with the last. and YES they should DEF keep the cast the same. they wouldnt change it of course…but u cant force the actors themselves to sign up! especially if kristin is all “irked” with the attention. for some reason….if there was a cast change i can picture her being the one to ruin it

    If they donot make Breaking Dawn it will be a huge mistake!They have to keep the whole original cast and go directly by the book Stephanie wrote!If they don’t do this they will severely hurt and forever disappoint die hard twi fans!!!!!!!!!We love the books and we need the movies too, with all the original actors! It would be a huge mistake Not to make this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!And By the Whole Breaking Dawn book not skipping one page!

    I think any casting changes would mess everything up all together, however it does escape me personally why Kstew would be so against what has brought her into the spotlight. Other than these movies I didnt know her at all…now however, I have noticed some previous films of hers…nothing as good as this though. C’mon, be grateful I say. ya know “Dont bite the hand that feeds ya!” lol…

    it would totally look weird if the actors from the first 3 installation of the movie wouldn’t play for the fourth…i’m a fan of twilight saga both in movie and in the book, and in my own opinion, there is no reason for these stars not playing the usual roles. but oh,they really need a break in doing these movies..they’re humans! and they’ve got the right to be exhausted..

    I believe they will make BD into a movie. Did not Rob have a copy of the script in his hand leaving a dinner they all had and say they were making it at Cannes? It is the best book in the series. I believe they should make it a 3 hour or two movies, but I hear two movies is out. It could be a fantastic movie! But stick to the book! I cry through most of the pages every time I read it (which is up to at least 30 times in the past two years).

    I really hope they make Breaking Dawn into a movie… I think they should sign the cast and crew but wait a bit to start filming so that the cast can have a break… But they need to stick with the original cast…. If they change the cast i may not see the movie.. I also believe that they should make it about a 3 to 3 1/2 hour movie like titanic or Pirates 3 to show all the important details from the book and also to give it the needed closer.

    I personally hope this movie is never made. The fourth book basically killed the personalities of all of the characters involved to begin with, and to watch the change on screen would be horrible.

    I especially feel bad for Taylor, because he was so invested in Jacob’s character and all. The ending he gets is weird as hell, and if they don’t change the enitre ‘plot’ of Breaking Dawn, it won’t come out well on-screen. A near-grown boy being permanently attached to a baby? Yeah, it’s weird enought to read about. If Taylor has to act it, I’ll feel very bad for him. Hopefully Kristen or Rob back out so that this can’t be made. It’d be in everyone’s best interest…I don’t see how this film will help /anyone’s/ career.

    I loved all of the books. If they don’t do the movie with Kristen,Rob,and Taylor they will lose a lot of fans.
    Im very young and I have read all of the books in 3 weeks.
    If they got new cast members it would just be wrong because no one can be the same way as the other person.
    Oh and im only 10 years old.
    Please please please don’t change any one of the cast members.
    Rob I love you and I hope that you get to play Edward for the rest of the 2 movies.
    P.S. I loved Twilight and New Moon.

    Loved Eclipse because Victoria dies.But was sad because that Harry Clearwater died at the same time.Stupid Victoria.
    Loved Breaking Dawn because Bella has a baby named Rennesmee.

    I am fan of all the twlight books. I have seen the movies over and over. It would a shame if Breaking Dawn isn’t made into a movie tha goes right with the book. ROBERT, kRISTIN, aND tAYLOR, AS WELL AS ALL THE ACTORS SHOULD DO THIS MOVIE. IT WOULDN’T BE THE SAME WITH NEW CAST. I AM A GREAT- GRANDMOTHER AND MY GRANDCHILDREN GOD ME HOOKED ON THE BOOKS AS WELL AS THE MOVIES. PLEASE DON’T DISSAPPOINT ALL YOUR LOYAL FANS.

      Do keep up to date! They have all been signed up for BD. And so have all the other actors.actresses who play the Cullen family.

    This article was originally posted in October of 2009, so obviously this is not current/up-to-date information. The entire cast has been signed up to film Breaking Dawn . . . and a release date has also been announced for Part I of Breaking Dawn (November 18, 2011) . . . They just have to get everything in place to start filming. Besides, Rob is currently working on another movie atm, anyway (“Water For Elephants”), so obviously they’re not going to start filming BD right away. But they will soon.
