Kristen Bell is a Fan of Therapy
Kristen Bell says she believes in therapy — and she hopes her new film will help lift “the stigma” on people seeking counseling.
The actress stars alongside Jason Bateman, Vince Vaughn, Kristen Davis and a whole host of other A-listers in the upcoming comedy flick Couples Retreat.
Bell and Bateman play a couple who decide to work on their marriage at a specially-designed tropical-island resort, only to be joined by their married friends who want a holiday.
“I definitely am a firm believer in therapy and I hope that this lifts the stigma a little bit and that people feel less embarrassed about going,” Bell said.
Kristen’s own relationship advice? “Communication is always the most important thing. Once that lacks and you stop communicating a lot can start to crumble,” she said.
“I think they kind of nailed the four typical problems on the head in this movie.
“Dealing with wanting to stay young, being a workaholic, focusing on the kids and not connecting, fidelity.”
Bell, 29, recently revealed how she travels with snacks because she is afraid of eating foreign food.
“I do travel with a lot of snacks,” she said. “I was concerned about the food in Bora Bora, and so I packed a lot. I like knowing what I’m eating. I don’t like mystery dishes.”
