Salma Hayek isn’t sitting on the edge of seat waiting for the November release of Twilight sequel New Moon — because she doesn’t like vampires!

The Mexican actress — who played a vampire queen in the 1996 film From Dusk Till Dawn, in which she performed a table-top snake dance — says she is regularly involved with facial fuzz and bloodsucker movies even though she is one of the few females around not caught up in the current vamp craze headed by the popular flicks based on the books by author Stephenie Meyer.

“I don’t have a fascination for vampires at all, which is quite ironic,” says Salma, who has a daughter with her billionaire husband François-Henri Pinault. “I’ve actually been a vampire in a movie, and I’ve been in love with a vampire in another movie, and yet I have no fascination whatsoever with vampires.

“It just so happened to be a vampire project and it also just happened to have facial hair, and it’s the third time I’ve done some kind of freak facial hair in a movie!”
