Robert Pattinson: ‘My Mom Believes Gossip About me’
Robert Pattinson insists he doesn’t care what’s written about him in the press — unless his mom reads it!
The British actor — who has become a tabloid favorite since finding worldwide fame as vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movie franchise — says his mother always reads rumors about her famous son — and often believes them!
“My mom says, ‘I can’t believe you did this’, and I’m like, ‘I didn’t do it’, she’s like, ‘yes you did, I know you did’,” Pattinson said.
“It was about swearing, I was like, ’say something about sleeping with people and swearing and stuff, I wasn’t even in the city’.
“And she’s just like, ‘no, I don’t believe, I bet you did say that’.”
Pattinson — who is currently dating his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart – insists fame isn’t important to him.
“You try and stay kind of Zen about it,” he said.
“You just have to learn to accept it all,” he adds with new found maturity.
“I guess the whole thing is that you don’t want to wake up one day and realize that you’ve turned into someone who you weren’t before. And it wasn’t your choice. That’s the danger. And you can’t get it back again.
“That’s the only scary thing, but it’s always really up to you. Most of the time you can control it to some degree.”

Oh man! poor Robert about his mother read all maginizes so I knew all Maginizes are totally false. I rather video than pictures. Anyway, his mother come from English and she is way different type, USA and English are different, in my option that his mother got all freak out about Robert.. So let Robert explain his mother the way gossips are very false I wish robert a best luck explain to his mother. Yeah his mother need to learn to ingore the false rumor and I understand Rob is his son, but she need to let him go and its his life hes only 23 years old so let Robert handle it . I knew Robert can handle well.
Its seems that Robert Pattison really loves and respects his Mum..23..43..73 no matter what age that is his mother. Its is her job to keep Robert grounded–his father’s as well. The problem with young hollywood (Britney, Miley, Lindsey)the parents switch roles. I hope Mrs. Patterson continues to demand Rob act appropriately in public and make him aware that whether the media is publishing true or false stories that he does not get outlandish in his behavior. I am hoping his sisters also keep him level headed. Keep up the good work Mrs. Patterson..so far Rob is doing fine.
why does anyone even believe this article? no sourcing, no attribution. just plain invention. how could anyone post something like this and not be accountable? this should be fan fiction or at least a blog about one’s personal thoughts but certainly NOT NEWS. read pattinson’s lines and he was made to speak like an american. this is wrong. dont believe anything that is written here.
What does it really matter if it’s true or not? Obviously he is a hot commodity and everyone, if they like him or not, wants to read about him. And some of us would actually prefer to know he’s still single and cares about his mom so we can hope that maybe one day the prince charming of our dreams can come sweep us up off our feet. So just stop with the negative crap already, so stupid to rant mean things about someone you dont know! Just give it a rest and let the fans enjoy the few moments of hope we get a day.
