Leona Lewis Demands 24-Hour Security After Punching Incident

Leona LewisLeona Lewis is living in fear after she was attacked during a book signing in London Wednesday.

Leona was autographing copies of her new book Dreams at a shop in the British capital’s Piccadilly district when 29-year-old Peter Kowalczyk — who is said to have envied Leona for winning the X Factor after he was turned down for it — attacked her. (See video clip.)

Kowalczyk spent five hours in line as he waited patiently to speak to Leona.

When he reached the front of the queue he lashed out, after which five of Leona’s security team jumped on him and pinned him down.

As Leona ran away, Peter shouted, “I love you Leona!”

She responded, “I don’t love you!”

The Bleeding Love singer is now demanding 24-hour personal security.

“She is petrified it could happen again,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. “They could have a knife or acid next time. She never really had personal security because she never dreamed anything like this would happen.

“Now she wants a 24-hour security team with plain-clothed guards hidden in the crowd when she goes shopping or out with friends.”
