Jennifer Love Hewitt hasn’t split from beau Jamie Kennedy — despite reports to the contrary.

Fox News recently claimed that the couple’s relationship is still in trouble from Kennedy’s rumored infidelity with his ex-girlfriend, Britney’s Spears‘ former assistant Shannon Funk.

“Jamie is still hung up on Shannon and has been telling her that,” a source said. “He also told her he had zero desire to go to the Tao event with [Love Hewiit], but Jen insisted they go together to put rumors to rest. Jamie decided he at least owed her that, so he appeased her and accompanied her to the event even though he’s pretty much checked out of the relationship.

“Jen knows things have really changed with them, but the public appearance is all part of her damage control plan. Unfortunately for her, it doesn’t seem Jamie is going to stay with Jen ultimately.”

BUT Kennedy’s rep has shot down the claims — and insists there is “no truth” to Fox News‘ report.

So there you have it.

Hewitt, 30, was previously engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall. They called it off late last year.

“Breakups are awful. They’re really painful,” Jen told Ellen DeGeneres in April. “They really hurt. They really suck on lots of levels, but what I think is great about life is that the universe always brings you something really beautiful and great afterward — and that’s kind of where I am now.”
