IS it true love for George Clooney and his Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis?

The couple made yet another red carpet appearance on Saturday for the premiere of Clooney’s upcoming movie Up in the Air at the 4th Annual Rome International Film Festival.

Clooney — who had a five year one/off relationship with British model Lisa Snowdon, was married to Talia Balsam from 1989–1993 and started dating Canalis earlier this year — recently revealed that he’s been in relationships where he’s felt “terribly alone”.

“People keep asking me if I worry about being alone — but listen, I’ve been in some relationships where I’ve felt terribly alone,” he said.

“Just because you’re with someone in a couple doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re incredibly happy and complete — sometimes the opposite.

“I’ve broken up with a few people, and had a lot of people break up with me, and sometimes it has been a relatively easy thing, and sometimes it has been the sensible thing because the relationship wasn’t working out.

“I’m just trying to live my life the way I choose to live it here and hope it all works out, but I’m also well aware that certain things you can do which are cute when you do them at 20 become less cute when you’re still doing them at 48.”
